    Shane Miller

Shane is the team’s current leader in all major events and certainly a very prolific winner of major road races, criteriums and his personal love, the time trial. Shane is a multiple winner of several state and national titles, ranging from the individual time trial, to the road and even on the track. His other passions are of course assisting younger riders and sharing his very detailed understanding of the science behind this sport. You can keep up to date with his performances over at his blog or by simply following him on twitter. He has secured over a dozen podium results this year alone.

    Kos Samaras

Otherwise known as the manager of the team, Kos has sustained a passion for competitive cycling for over two decades. During that period he has competed in the Tour of Tasmania, Melbourne to Warrnambool and many other interstate and locally based events. From the late 1980s he developed a reputation for his time trial abilities and his life long speciality, the long break away. Like Shane he is a student of the science behind the sport and loves to share his knowledge with younger riders, mentoring them through the first few years of their cycling careers. Aside from his impressive start to this season, Kos has secured dozens of podium results over the many years he has participated in this sport.

    Simon Welsh

Simon took up cycling after many years in competitive running. That conditioning has certainly paved the way for Simon to become one of the team’s main workhorses. If the pace is on, you can find him at the front, in the wind, putting many in the hurt box. Simon also specialises in the mountains and is most comfortable when it goes uphill for more than 5km. His greatest wins have always involved some back breaking mountain.

    Luca Giacomin

Luca is one of the team’s under 23 elite cyclist who has recently started to show his very impressive abilities in open events. Like many his age he balances his passion for this sport with his studies but can be found mixing it with the best in major races around Victoria. When the hammer is down in any race and the road points upwards, you can pretty much guarantee that Luca is at the front of any such procession. He can only add to his already impressive racing CV.

    Stephen Lane

Stephen made the transition to cycling after a successful triathlon career, securing numerous state and national titles in that sport. Stephen’s strengths include the individual TT, where he recently secured podium finishes in the Victorian Masters ITT Championships.

With a background in exercise physiology he puts his knowledge of training adaptation to work through his company Human Performance Technologies. Offering athletes evidence based approach’s to racing and training he brings to Kosdown a means of tracking the teams performance and maximising training adaptation through regular laboratory testing.

    Shannon Johnson

Shannon comes to the sport from a very successful career in super bikes, where he dominated the national scene for many years. With less then a year of racing under his belt he competed in the UCI World Cycling Tour in Peth, winning the ITT and coming third in the open road race. These great results sent him off to Belgium to compete against the world best masters’ category cyclist. Locally he has also shown great form, winning state and club events.

    Sam Lilley

Sam is another one of the team’s under 23 members and emulates David Holt’s ability for fast finishes. That ability has also delivered him many results on the track and criterium circuits but he has also been known to deliver a massive kick at the end of any gruelling road race. Like many young riders Sam juggles his love for this sport with his studies.

    Nick Katsonis

Nick is the team’s youngest rider and very much a part of our commitment to assisting young riders reaching their full potential. Currently Nick, competes at a B grade level but his is steadily displaying great improvement and will soon be exercising his abilities in the hills at an A grade level.

    Adam Katsonis

Another young member of the team who specialises in a typical one day classic race, short sharp hills will lots of cross wind. Adam is relatively new to the sport but is already displaying promising signs of mixing it with the best in years to come. He also enjoys working hard at the front for his team and is not afraid to bury himself for his mates.

    Jason Laird

Jason is the climbing specialist of the team and definitely appreciates the mountain classics like Baw Baw and the Tour of Bright. In recent years he has secured impressive results in these events but now wants to replicate those performances at a higher level.

    Damien Burke

Damien is one of our older members who can be seen competing in many Vets and masters events but also elite level competitions. He has had many years of experience both in this country and in Belgium racing against some of the sports toughest bike riders.

    Lindsay Tunbridge

Lindsay is otherwise known as the engine, for his ability to work hard for his fellow team mates. That massive stamina is most likely due to his other passion for climbing Mount Everest every two years. I’m sure we would all love to have his blood values after an Everest expedition. Lindsay loves to mix it with the best during the summer criterium series and winter road season.

    Peter Ferrie

Peter is definitely the most experienced rider in the team. His cycling career dates back to the early 1980s and one could safely say that he has not spent too much of that time off the bike. Peter is well known for his ability in big bunch sprints, a trait which he has executed many times. Both on the track and road he currently enjoys the summer months criterium and track events but has shown some recent good winter form.

    Lauretta Hanson

Lauretta originally joined the team’s development squad but quickly moved into our fully sponsored line up. He prolific results both on the track and road speak volumes for her tireless commitment to pursuing her dreams in this sport.

    Mitch Dedman

Mitch is one of the team’s development squad members and eager to reach his goals in this sport. Mitch is currently balancing his commitment to cycling with his hectic university schedule.
